Olivia Rodrigo will release her first holiday single, "take me home (4 christmas)," at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday.
The song launches simultaneously with a new music video. The video features Rodrigo alongside actress Cynthia Nixon and "Saturday Night Live" cast member Ben Marshall.
Rodrigo announced the release on Instagram. She confirmed the timing and noted that fans can preorder the track immediately.
Physical copies of the song are available for purchase. An exclusive 7-inch vinyl and cassette can be ordered through Rodrigo's website. Target will also carry the vinyl, with copies hitting shelves on Friday.
Dan Nigro and Amy Allen co-wrote the track with Rodrigo. Nigro also produced the song. This follows the recent release of a remix for "expectations" featuring Chappell Roan.
That remix became the highest peaking all-female collaboration on the Billboard Hot 100 this year. Its release sent the album "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love" back to the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Rodrigo is currently performing her The Unraveled Tour. The sold-out run has sold more than one million tickets worldwide. A press release states the tour has broken several venue records.
