Yung Miami hosted an intimate listening party for her debut solo album, “Watch Dis,” at Privé 954 Restaurant & Lounge in Miami on Thursday, Oct. 29. The event was organized by 103.5 The Beat. Caresha Romeka Brownlee, the Opa-locka native, arrived to the beat of “Take Me to Chanel” and toasted fans with rosé.

The rapper spent the evening discussing her Miami roots and her transition to a solo career. She stated that the city taught her to be tough and shaped her identity. Brownlee addressed her falling out with former City Girls bandmate JT, clarifying that Diddy played no role in their separation.

Regarding her relationship with JT, Brownlee pointed to the music as the primary source of her feelings. “I wrote a song. The song is how I feel. I put my feelings into the song, and that’s just what it is,” she said. The track in question, “Dear JT,” is the 19th song on the album. It recounts their friendship and features a chorus that repeats the line, “I’m missin’ you. I’m missin’ you. Tell me where the road turns.”

Brownlee also discussed her interview series, “Caresha Please.” When asked whom she would invite if she revived the show, she named Tyler Perry. She said they would discuss movies and acting, noting that she is ready to explore acting herself. The conversation shifted to lighter topics when she revealed a dating turnoff: a man who “smells like outside.” “I just want a man that smells good,” she said, prompting laughter from the audience.

A fan shared words of encouragement during the event, which moved the rapper to tears. When asked how she felt about the album release, Brownlee responded, “I feel very blessed, happy and blessed.” The project includes collaborations with Trina, Rick Ross, and Travis Scott.

Brownlee identified “Baby,” featuring Pleasure P, as her current favorite track. “That’s my favorite song right now, right now,” she said. The album marks her first major release since leaving the group.

The promotional week included a record signing at Sweat Records in Miami. Brownlee continued her tour schedule following the Thursday event.
