Unofficial results put Tracey Bailey back in the Lakeshore mayor's office.
Bailey collected 8,399 votes in Monday's initial reporting, ahead of Argo Pace at 1,782 and Sam Sinjari at 1,399. The margin over the two challengers combined exceeds 5,200 votes. Bailey campaigned on 12 years of service across council roles, including councillor, deputy mayor and mayor.
The incumbent tied the result to spending decisions made during her current term. "Under my leadership we've seen tremendous investment in Lakeshore. We've pulled in around $100 million over the last four four years," Bailey said, adding that crews are "ready for shovels in the ground." She said the vote gives her "a clear mandate" and declined to characterize it as anything but a reflection of resident support for the direction of that spending.
Bailey campaigned on three commitments: infrastructure investment, protection of affordability, and building complete communities as Lakeshore grows. Those pledges sit against a record of roughly $100 million in investment over the past four years, a figure she cited when discussing the outcome.
Results remain unofficial as of Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Bailey said the transition work starts immediately, stating, "we hit the ground running on day one."
Bailey will return to the mayor's chair with the vote totals reported Monday. Pace finished second with 1,782 votes and Sinjari finished with 1,399.
