Josh Jacobs, the Green Bay Packers running back, faced three additional women who contacted police with their own accounts of abuse after his May 26 arrest. The Hobart/Lawrence Police Department released these records Friday night in response to a public request. NBC 26 first reported the release of the documents.
One woman told police she experienced a similar incident with Jacobs around 2023, though she later corrected the date to Jan. 5, 2022. She said she spent about 11 hours at his home after six months of communication. When she told Jacobs she had not come for sex, he became angry, slapped her, and threw her phone into a swimming pool as she tried to leave. She reported that he grabbed her hair, threw her onto a bed, pinned her down, and told her he should kill her right now.
Another woman described an incident in April 2021 after a condom broke during sex. She asked Jacobs to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases because they had both been involved with other people. Jacobs removed her from the residence, grabbed her by the arms and bicep, and pushed her against a wall. He threw her belongings out, and she reported bruises on her arms and swelling in her rib area, though police records indicated no visible signs of injury.
A third woman met Jacobs through social media in May 2022. He flew her to a residence where an altercation occurred. She said he grabbed her hair, placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, and scratched her chest. He took her phone after it fell to the floor. She cited bruises on her arm and scratches to her chest and neck, noting she did not report it earlier because she was not a U.S. citizen and Jacobs told her she could be deported.
The records also expanded on the May 23 incident that led to Jacobs' initial arrest. The woman said Jacobs grabbed her and threw her to the ground as she exited a garage door, causing her to hit her head. He took her phone while she was on the ground. She added that he lunged at her, pinned her to a bed with his body weight on her chest, and put his hand on her mouth and nose so she felt she could not breathe. She believed she lost consciousness briefly when the confrontation moved to the garage.
Jacobs pleaded no contest on Sept. 10 to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property. He has played two games for the Packers since being removed from the commissioner exempt list in August. That list had prevented him from playing or practicing, causing him to miss the team's first six games. The NFL continues to investigate the May incident and may issue further discipline to the three-time Pro Bowl selection.
