The San Antonio Spurs host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday in a matchup defined by injury and resilience. The Spurs emerged as the victors, claiming a 121-111 decision to extend their winning streak to four games. The victory came against a Timberwolves team playing without its primary defensive anchor and two other key contributors.

Victor Wembanyama carried the offensive load for San Antonio, scoring a season-high 43 points. He also recorded seven rebounds and six blocks. Dylan Harper contributed 25 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while De'Aaron Fox added 22 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Julian Champagnie provided 12 points off the bench for the hosts.

The Timberwolves faced substantial roster gaps. They played without Anthony Edwards, who is out with a knee injury, and Donte DiVincenzo, who is recovering from Achilles surgery. Rudy Gobert also sat out due to low back spasms. Ayo Dosunmu led Minnesota in scoring with 27 points and nine rebounds. Jaden McDaniels and Jonathan Kuminga each scored 19 points, while Joan Beringer added 12. Jaylen Clark and LaMelo Ball scored 10 points each, with Ball fouling out after shooting 2-for-10 from the field.

The game featured back-and-forth momentum through the first half. San Antonio led 10 points late in the first quarter after a three-point play by Fox, but the margin shrank to 34-28 at the end of that period. Minnesota took a 51-46 lead late in the second quarter following a 16-0 run capped by free throws from Trey Lyles. Wembanyama answered with consecutive three-pointers to put the Spurs back within one point at the break, 61-60.

San Antonio reclaimed the lead early in the third quarter. Harper dunked at the 7:54 mark to give the Spurs a 73-65 advantage. The team extended its lead to 10 points, though a three-pointer by Kuminga narrowed the gap to 93-88 as the final quarter began. The Spurs trailed by only one point at halftime but took a five-point lead into the fourth quarter.

A 12-2 run by San Antonio pushed the score to 101-88 in the fourth quarter. Minnesota responded with a jumper by McDaniels with 6:49 remaining, pulling within four points. The Spurs countered with a 6-2 spurt to stabilize the game. Wembanyama hit a three-pointer with 2:40 left to make it 118-107, effectively sealing the result for San Antonio.
